I did not arrive at this work through a textbook. I arrived here through the same door you are standing in front of right now.
I know what it is to love God completely and still feel like the version of faith you were handed doesn't actually include you. I know what it is to be gifted, called, and capable, and to spend years living out a smaller version of yourself because the system you were in required you to.
I walked out of it. And the moment I did, I understood that my entire life, every credential, every wound, every year of clinical training, every book, had been preparing me to come back and show other women where the door was.
That is what I do. That is all I do.
The training I brought with me.
I hold a PhD in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Divinity. I have spent 25 plus years working as a transformational counselor and coach, specifically with women navigating trauma, identity, spiritual crisis, and the particular damage that comes from being minimized inside the one place that was supposed to see them fully.
I have written more than 25 books on healing, identity, spiritual freedom, boundaries, calling, and what it means to be a fully alive woman of God. I am not a motivational speaker. I am not a life coach with a morning routine to sell you. I am a clinically trained, theologically grounded, battle-tested guide who has walked this road personally and professionally for a quarter century.
I know what I am doing. And I know the weight you are carrying.
What I know from living it.
There is a specific kind of exhaustion that comes from being a gifted woman inside a system that cannot quite decide what to do with you.
You serve faithfully. You study deeply. You show up with everything you have. And still, there is always a ceiling. Always a committee. Always a version of "yes, but" that keeps you just slightly contained.
I lived that. I know the particular grief of realizing that the institution you gave your best years to was never fully designed for you. I know the guilt that follows the anger. I know the fear that leaving the system might mean leaving God.
It doesn't. I am living proof of that.
On the other side of that door is not emptiness. It is not rebellion. It is not a faith that has abandoned its foundations. It is the most alive, most grounded, most genuinely connected relationship with God I have ever known. Because for the first time, there is no one standing between us.
That is what I want for you.
