A word from me.
I built The Extraordinary Woman Letter because I kept meeting women who were extraordinary in every measurable way and had been convinced, by the church and by the culture, that they were problems to be managed.
Brilliant women. Called women. Women with decades of faithful service and a growing, quiet rage that they couldn't name because naming it felt like betraying God.
It is not a betrayal of God to be angry at the lie. It is, in fact, the beginning of the truth.
I am Dr. Kim West. I have spent 25 years as a transformational counselor, coach, and teacher. I have written more than 25 books on healing, identity, spiritual freedom, and calling.
I hold a PhD in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and an MDiv, and I have used every bit of that training in service of one conviction:
Women were not made to be managed. They were made to be free.
Everything I write, every call I lead, every word I speak in this gathering comes from that place.
